The One "Proof" The Church IS NOT Immune To
Text: Acts 1:3, Matthew 16:18
Proof is a process designed to establish a fact or a truth. The Church is called to prove to the world that Jesus is who He says He is and we are who we say we are. Jesus is alive! We have proof of that fact from God's Word which is forever settled in Heaven. We are protected from all things that attempt to come against us as we tell the world about The Truth. God's Word declares that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church. Therefore the Church is "fireproof." In Isaiah we are told when we walk through the fire we will not be burned. Isaiah also tells us the waters shall not overflow us which means we are "waterproof." The Church could even be called "foolproof" for there will be no hypocrites in God's Church (Isaiah 35:8). We are also "moth, rust, and burglar proof." For moths and rust cannot corrupt the treasure we have awaiting us in Heaven. Thieves cannot steal it. As the devil walks about as a roaring lion it is good to know that we are "lion proof." Daniel's punishment for praying when he was told not to pray was a visit to the lion's den from which he came out unharmed. In today's world, we are told that we cannot pray. Our children are told not to pray in school. We pray they pray anyway as David did for God bides the children to come to Him. A little child shall lead them. The Church is not to be "childproof." We must embrace each child for God's Word teaches that such is the Kingdom of Heaven.
